A rare opportunity has arisen to join this prominent Norwich business in their I.T. department as Service Desk Support.

Your role will be to ensure proper computer operation to enable end users accomplish their own business tasks.

This will include receiving, prioritising, documenting and actively resolving end user service requests. Problem resolution will require the use of diagnostic and service request tracking tools as well as giving in person, hands on help at the users desktop.

Responsibilities include:-

· Field incoming service requests 
· Document all pertinent end user identification information
· Build rapport and elicit problem details 
· Prioritise and schedule problems and escalate problems when required 
· Record, track, and document the service desk request problem-solving process
· Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.
· Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution.
· Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used 
· Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level
· Install anti-virus software.
· Performing preventative maintenance

You will require:

Formal Education & Certification
· College diploma in the field of computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience.
· Certifications in either CompTia A+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Technician.
